VoiceToLead empowers young people to find their voice, build confidence, and develop the communication and leadership skills needed to thrive in school, careers, and civic life. Through student-led mentorship, hands-on workshops, and speaking opportunities, we help students overcome fear, communicate with purpose, and unlock their full potential.
Our Story
A lot of our members are high school speech and debate competitors. And for most of us, this was our first exposure to public speaking. And naturally, we wanted to get good at it! But as we were part of a new team with little to no scaffolding, we had to look elsewhere to improve our skills. We turned to external coaches, but were shocked at the sky-high price tag. Public speaking is something everyone should be able to practice, regardless of their socioeconomic status. So we started VoiceToLead, using a peer-to-peer approach to avoid outdated techniques and bridge the glaring financial gap when it comes to public speaking education, because we firmly believe that one’s access to fundamental knowledge shouldn’t be hindered by a price tag.
